EIA: US crude inventories decline by 7.2M barrels

Commercial crude oil inventories in the United States, excluding inventories int he Strategic Petroleum Reserve, fell by 7.2 million barrels to 533.5 million barrels in the week ending June 26, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Wednesday.

US crude oil refinery inputs averaged 14 million barrels per day, up by 193,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Refineries operated at 75.5% of their capacity, while gasoline production rose, averaging 8.9 million barrels per day.

Imports of crude oil in the US averaged 6 million barrels per day, 600,000 barrels per day less compared to the previous week. Total commercial petroleum inventories rose by 1.1 million barrels.
