Stakeholders turning to sustainable investments - JPMorgan

JPMorgan Chase & Co. revealed on Wednesday that investors are nowadays focusing on a more sustainable approach to investments, particularly following the coronavirus pandemic.

A poll conducted by the American bank showed that 71% of investors think it is likely the risks such as pandemics increase awareness and prompt actions to tackle global issues like climate change and biodiversity losses.

Commenting on the poll, Co-Heads of ESG & Sustainability within JPMorgan EMEA Equity Research Jean-Xavier Hecker and Hugo Dubourg said that "over the long run, COVID-19 could prove to be a major turning point for ESG investing, or strategies that consider a company's environmental, social and governance performance alongside traditional financial metrics."
