Crypto exchanges volumes drop in June

Cryptocurrency exchanges are going through a volume fall as bitcoin volatility reached the lowest level this year, according to data provider CryptoCompare. In June, top tier and lower tier spot volumes fell by 36% to $177 billion and 53% or $466 billion, respectively.

The data showed crypto derivatives volumes fell by 35.7% in June to $393 billion that represents the lowest monthly volumes in 2020.

Binance was the largest crypto exchange by volume in June trading $41.8 billion that represents the fall of 19.6%. It was followed by the OKEx which was trading $40.6 billion, down by 29.0%. Coinbase was trading $6.86 billion, meaning it decreased by 38.5%.

At 1:58 pm CET, bitcoin was falling by 0.78% and was standing at $9,270.
