Putin against US sanctions on Iran
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the efforts to pressure Iran by extending the sanctions "hopeless," during his call with German Chancellor Angela Markel on Wednesday.
Putin stressed that going back to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is the only way to resolve complicated issues regarding the Iran nuclear program, the Kremlin said in a statement.
Earlier today, Iran's Ambassador to the European Union, Gholamhossein Dehghani marked the United States as the main culprit for the non-implementation of JCPOA, describing its actions as "bullying."
