Wells Fargo announced on Tuesday that Mike Santomassimo will join the lender as its new chief financial officer (CFO) in the fall.

Santomassimo, who has served as CFO at the Bank of New York Mellon since 2018, will replace John Shrewsberry who decided to retire after 22 years at Wells Fargo.

"His experience as the CFO of one of the other seven Globally Systemic Important Banks in the US puts him in a unique position to have immediate impact on Wells Fargo," he added.
