Oil inventories in US jump by 7.54 million barrels - report

Crude oil inventories in the United States increased by 7.544 million barrels in the week ending July 17, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, reportedly rose by 0.716 million barrels.

For the same week, gasoline inventories allegedly dropped by 2.019 million barrels, while distillate inventories diminished by 1.357 million barrels in the same period.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for August delivery went up by 2.62% to sell for $41.90 per barrel at 4:27 pm ET, while Brent for settlements in September gained 2.64%, to go for $44.32 per barrel at 4:29 pm ET.
