No reason for Navalny's case to hurt Russia's ties with West - Kremlin

Russia doesn't want what's happened to its opposition leader Aleksey Navalny to affect the relations between the Western countries and Moscow, Kremlin spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The Russian government has nothing to gain from Navalny's alleged poisoning, and it is determined to find out who stands to profit from Navalny's illness, Kremlin said.

Since Navalny's health has worsened, the Russian authorities were adamant Moscow had no involvement in the event, claiming that media in the West "rushed" to describe Navalny's condition as poisoning with no substantial evidence to support the claim.
