NATO supports probe into Navalny case

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg (pictured) backed on Wednesday the idea of launching a "transparent" investigation into the suspected poisoning of Russian opposition leader Aleksey Navalny.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a similar notion, revealing that Britain supports the idea of launching an "independent" probe into the incident.

Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted that what happened to the Russian politician is no reason for the relationship between Moscow and the Western countries to worsen, while reiterating that the Russian authorities had nothing to do with Navalny's health problems.
