Response coming if Russia tried to kill Navalny - Maas

There will be a diplomatic response in case the case of Russian opposition leader's illness turns out to be "a state-initiated murder attempt," German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Friday.

Maas also informed the press that Navalny, who is currently being treated in Germany, is stable and that his symptoms are receding. However, his health condition remains serious, the minister explained. Meanwhile, the hospital where Navalny is being treated also stated that "some improvement" in his condition has been seen.

Russia has been warned over the Navalny case by a number of countries that called for a probe to find out what happened to the opposition politician, but the Kremlin strongly denies any involvement in the case and even said it is interested in an investigation.
