Amazon to add 100K more sellers to its store

American tech giant Inc. announced on Tuesday the company plans to onboard 100,000 more companies as new sellers in its store to support small businesses widely hit by the coronavirus crisis.

"Amazon is on track to spend $18 billion in 2020 to help independent businesses reach more customers and grow sales, including investments in logistics, tools, services, programs, and people. In the next 12 months, we will provide more than 500,000 US SMBs currently selling through Amazon with guidance, education, and support, and we plan to onboard an additional 100,000 US businesses as new sellers in our store," the official statement noted.

As part of the company's expansion plan, Amazon also recently revealed it would employ in total 20,000 new workers in Seattle and the United Kingdom.
