Teddy to become Category 4 hurricane this week - NHC

Hurricane Teddy is expected to become a Category 4 hurricane by the end of the week, the United States National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday.

Teddy is currently a Category 2 hurricane, the NHC explained, with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph. According to the latest information it is in the Atlantic Ocean and is moving in a northwest direction towards the United States at 12 mph.

Teddy's approach comes as Hurricane Sally is expected to cause flooding from Tallahassee, Florida to Mobile, Alabama.
