Trump's nominee to replace Ginsburg will get Senate vote - McConnell

President Donald Trump's nominee to replace US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will receive a vote in the upper congressional house, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced in a statement.

"Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep that promise," McConnell wrote.

The high court revealed earlier that Justice Ginsburg, an appointee of former President Bill Clinton, lost her battle with pancreatic cancer leaving a vacancy for the incumbent head of state to appoint a conservative judge to take her place.
