Russia's army to get 70% of new weapons - Deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov (pictured) stated on Saturday that there are plans that the Russian military is 70% equipped with new military hardware.

Borisov told Rossiya’23 TV he believes "that upon the results of this year we will achieve a coveted amount, as we will approach 70% in our army’s rearmament with advanced and promising types of weapons and military hardware."

He added that the country’s defense industry hasn’t been slowed down during the coronavirus pandemic.
