Dutch Unilever investors vote to move firm to UK

British-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever PLC revealed on Monday that its shareholders in the Netherlands agreed on unifying the firm's current dual-headed structure and turning Unilever into a London-based company.

The current format has hindered the Unilever's efforts to respond quickly to movements on the market, and the proposed change would allow the firm to react more efficiently to such shifts, the company explained. The British stakeholders will vote on their Dutch counterparts' decision on October 12, the firm noted.

Unilever's stocks lost 1.10% after the release of the news, selling for €50.42 at 11:27 am CET.
