Lawmakers must move quickly on fiscal aid - Fed's Kashkari

President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Neel Kashkari, insisted on Wednesday the Congress needs to continue to be aggressive when it comes to providing relief to the United States economy.

"Individuals, [federal] states and businesses all need help," Kashkari told CNBC, while urging the lawmakers to move quickly and provide additional fiscal aid.

Fed's Chair Jerome Powell also called for further economic stimulus as soon as possible. However, President Donald Trump postponed the relief talks until after the presidential elections, leaving the possibility for airlines and small businesses to receive help despite the canceled discussions.
