H. Biden sought family business deal in China - report

Hunter Biden (pictured left), son of United States Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden, tried to strike agreements with China's biggest private energy company CEFC China Energy, the New York Post reported on Thursday, citing information from alleged emails of Hunter Biden it obtained. The deal he was negotiating would be "interesting" for him and his family, the former vice president's son said in one of the emails.

The agreement he sought described his future role as a "Chair/Vice Chair depending on the agreement with CEFC," his pay as "850," presumably $850,000, and a 20% stake in a future business venture with the Chinese firm. A question "10 held by H for the big guy?" appeared in one of the emails, with the "big guy" possibly being a reference to Hunter's father, Joe Biden. The information from the emails has been recovered from a laptop seized by the FBI after being left at a repair shop and never retrieved. President Donald Trump's associate Rudy Giuliani allegedly obtained the data and shared it with the New York Post.

In the past, Trump had accused the Bidens of China-related corruption multiple times.
