Progress made on testing in stimulus talks - Pelosi's aide

Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff of United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, revealed that "there was some encouraging news on [coronavirus] testing" related to the economic relief talks with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

However, the Democrats are also looking to "ensure there is a comprehensive testing plan that includes contact tracing and additional measures to address the virus' disproportionate impact on communities of color," Hammill wrote in a tweet.

"There remains an array of additional differences as we go provision by provision that must be addressed in a comprehensive manner in the next 48 hours," he stressed, urging the Trump administration to show it is "serious about reaching a bipartisan" deal.
