Europe higher premarket as Lagarde insists on relief

European stocks were higher in premarket trading on Monday as European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde warned governments not to cut economy relief too soon amid the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, Philips said its sales rose 6% as companies start posting their third quarter results.

The DAX increased 0.32% at 7:32 am CET and the FTSE 100 was 0.11% in the green at the same time. France's CAC 40 was up by 0.20% at 7:18 am CET.

The euro traded 0.05% in the red against the dollar at 07:34 am CET as it changed hands for 1.17101. The pound was 0.08% higher compared to the greenback, going for 1.29297 at 7:35 am CET.
