GSK says third quarter revenue fell 3% to £8.65B

GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) announced on Wednesday its sales in the third quarter of 2020 amounted to £8.65 billion, marking a 3% decline compared to the same period a year ago.

Earnings per share stood at 25 pence, down 9% on the year, according to the update. The company also said it now expects full-year earnings at the lower end of their forecast.

Regarding its joint effort with Sanofi on developing a coronavirus vaccine, GSK said the Phase III trial is expected to start in December. Earlier in the day, the companies announced a supply agreement to provide 200 million doses of their vaccine to COVAX.
