Suga: Japan ready to take 'budgetary steps' to aid economy

The Japanese government is ready to take additional "budgetary steps" to support the economic recovery amid the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Asian country's Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said.

Suga has previously described the state of the Japanese economy as "severe," while a report claimed that the third installment of the coronavirus stimulus package could be rolled out in November.

The Head of the Japanese government has repeatedly noted that "saving the economy" is one of Tokyo's top priorities amid the crisis.
