GOP: Hackers stole $2.3M from WI Trump account

Chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party Andrew Hitt said on Thursday that hackers stole $2.3 million from an account that was dedicated to the re-election efforts of President Donald Trump in the battleground state.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Hitt said the party noticed suspicious activity last week and have notified the FBI. "There’s no doubt RPW is now at a disadvantage with that money being gone," Hitt explained.

A poll released on Wednesday revealed Trump's opponent in the November 3 election, Joe Biden, leading the president in Wisconsin by a whopping 17 points.
