Daily COVID-19 cases in France rise to 49,215

The French Public Health Agency informed that the country registered a slightly higher number of COVID-19 cases on Friday compared to yesterday, 49,215, pushing the total tally to 1.33 million recorded cases since January.

545 coronavirus-related deaths were recorded over the last 24 hours, making France one of the most impacted countries in Europe with over 36,000 fatalities.

France went into partial lockdown last week, while tightened restriction measures will also take effect from November 1 in Belgium. Meanwhile, the neighbor country of Germany is set to enter "lockdown light" next week.
