Time for UK to do what is right for itself - Sunak

British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak (pictured) stated on Monday that the United Kingdom will unilaterally set post-Brexit operating rules for financial services firms from the European Union.

"Of course we will always want a constructive and engaged relationship with the EU. But after four years. I think it is time for us to move forward as a country and do what's right for the UK to provide certainty and stability to industry and deliver our goal of open, well-regulated markets," Sunak asserted.

In addition, the official announced that the country will have its first long term asset fund ready "within a year."
