EIA: US crude stockpiles down by 0.8 million barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 0.8 million barrels to 488.7 million barrels in the week ending November 20, the US Energy Information Administration revealed in its weekly report on Wednesday.

During the same period, crude oil imports averaged 5.2 million barrels per day, down by 26,000 barrels compared to the week before. Gasoline production declined in the past seven days, averaging 8.9 million barrels per day, according to the report.

The crude oil refinery inputs averaged 14.3 million barrels per day during the same week, 422,000 barrels per day more than the last week’s average. EIA's report showed that refineries operated at 78.7% of their operable capacity in the same period.
