Asia trades mostly lower after Japan CPI data

Major stock market indexes in Asia traded mostly lower on Friday as investors reacted to the economic data coming out of Japan. Released by the country's Statistics Bureau, Tokyo consumer price data saw the city's deflation under the estimates, decreasing by 0.7% in November on an annual basis.

Japan's Nikkei 225 decreased by 0.11% at 03:30 am CET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng went 0.34% down a minute later, as South Korea's Kospi Composite fell 0.16%. The dollar traded 0.17% lower against the yen, going for ¥104.0705 at 03:32 am CET, with the Australian S&P/ASX 200 going 0.66% down at the same time.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite added 0.22% at 03:32 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite rising 0.27% a minute later.
