Germany expands business aid through Dec.

Germany's Economic Minister Peter Altmaier revealed on Friday that the government would expand the relief it provides for companies affected by the coronavirus-related restriction measures.

The businesses closed in December will receive up to 75% of their last year's revenue for the time they weren't working, Altmaier said, which will cost the country €4.5 billion per week.

Finally, Altmaier noted that he doesn't expect insolvencies of restaurants and hotels in the last two months of 2020. Pushed by positive sentiment, the German DAX gained 0.13% at 2:31 pm CET.
