Pfizer, Moderna reject WH vaccine summit invitation - report
Pfizer and Moderna, the companies with the highest chance of getting their COVID-19 vaccines approved by the FDA, declined the White House's invitation to participate in the vaccine summit organized by the Trump administration.
On the other hand, other companies involved in vaccine distribution logistics such as FedEx, UPS, CVS and Walgreens will attend the event, according to Stat News' report published on Monday.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is set to be reviewed by the FDA later in the week, while Moderna's candidate review is scheduled for December 17. According to the website, the event is considered a "public relations stunt."
