FedEx Q2 revenue at $20.6B, up by 19.07%
FedEx Corporation announced its revenue in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2021 landed at $20.6 billion, which marks an increase of 19.07% in comparison to the same period in 2020.
The company's operating income stood at $1.47 billion, surging by 165.34% on an annual level, while its operating margin came in at 7.1%, rising from 3.9% reported in the same trimester last year. The diluted earnings per share (EPS) jumped by 113.61% year-on-year, going from $2.13 to $4.55.
"These results demonstrate the unparalleled strength of our global express network, the breadth of our e-commerce capabilities, and the dedication of our people," FedEx Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick W. Smith commented.
The company's shares went down by 2.32% in after-hours trading shortly after the release of the report.
