Ford recalls over 33,000 cars over safety issues

Ford Motor Company announced on Monday two recalls for safety reasons, a move that affects approximately 33,228 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

According to the company's press release, the first issuance involves "mispositioned insulation on the underside of the engine cover that does not fully extend to the perimeter, as intended" in Ford E-Series vehicles built at the Ohio Assembly Plant from May 11, 2019 to November 13, 2020. The second recall was announced due to the possibility of "the motor mount fasteners may become loose over time and disconnect from the engine" in 2020-21 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles built at the Chicago Assembly Plant July 28-30, 2020.

In both cases, Ford stated that there was no information about any accidents or injuries related to the detected issues.
