US stocks rise premarket as Brexit deal is expected
Stock markets in the United States traded higher premarket on Thursday as investors expected the announcement of a trade deal between the United Kingdom and the European Union. Ireland's Foreign Minister Simon Coveney stated negotiations have hit a last-minute "hitch" but that a deal should still be concluded today. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump vetoed the $740 billion defense bill, but Congress has enough votes to override his decision.
The Dow Jones added 0.32% at 4:41 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.19% at the same time, while the S&P 500 rose by 0.28% at 4:42 am ET.
The euro traded flat against the dollar and sold for 1.21991 at 4:42 am ET.
