US in the green premarket despite stimulus turmoil

Major stock market indexes in the United States were in positive territory during the premarket trade on Wednesday, after having closed mixed the day before, in a session which yielded fresh all-time highs.

Investors continue to closely monitor the news regarding the coronavirus stimulus package after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell prevented upper house Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's attempt to fast-track the bill that would increase the direct payments to US citizens from $600 to $2000.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 0.34% or 103 points at 4:20 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.36% a minute later. At the same time, the S&P 500 advanced by 0.40%. The euro went up by 0.07% versus the dollar, selling for 1.22585 at 4:22 am ET.
