US mostly lower in premarket ahead of last 2020 session

Shares on Wall Street were mostly lower during premarket trading on Thursday as investors geared up for the final session of 2020.

Following a volatile year that saw the stock market crash in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, in more recent weeks shares hit record highs on optimism the crisis would end soon with the release of several vaccines. On the data front, traders were awaiting initial jobless claims figures for last week.

The Dow Jones was down 0.12%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.14% at 4:15 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 was flat. The euro was down 0.07% against the dollar at 4:20 am ET, buying 1.22831.
