Pence likely to attend Biden's inauguration - report

United States Vice President Mike Pence is expected to show for US President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20, Politico reported on Thursday citing people close to Pence.

According to sources, US President Donald Trump made the decision easier for the vice president by blasting Pence for refusing to block the certification of Biden's electoral victory in the US Congress.

On the other hand, Trump is not likely to attend the event as he is expected to travel to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida together with First Lady Melania Trump, the report said. The president allegedly intended to hold a rally in Palm Beach on January 20 to officially unveil his plans to run for the White House in 2024, but son-in-law Jared Kushner and campaign manager Bill Stepien reportedly talked him out of making the announcement.
