US lower premarket ahead of earnings

Shares on the majors stock markets in the United States traded below the flatline in the premarket on Tuesday as the investors anticipated the slew of earnings reports scheduled for release during the day.

The vaccine developer Johnson & Johnson is set to release its quarterly figures before the opening bell, along with American Express and General Electric, while Starbucks Corporation and the tech behemoth Microsoft are due to come out with their reports after the session finishes.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded flat at 4:18 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 concurrently lost 0.21% after yesterday's record high. At the same time, the S&P 500 dipped 0.08%. The euro slid 0.07% versus the dollar, selling for 1.21326 at 4:20 am ET.
