Biden signs orders on accessible health care

United States President Joe Biden signed on Thursday executive orders aimed at strengthening the citizens' access to affordable health care.

According to the statement issued by the White House, those include Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, which "takes critical steps to reverse attacks on and strengthen Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, so they can continue to provide access to life-saving care for millions of Americans," and Protecting Women’s Health at Home and Abroad Ac to "support women's and girls' sexual and reproductive health and rights in the US, as well as globally."

"I believe every American deserves the peace of mind that comes with having access to quality, affordable health care," he said earlier in the day. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris described the order as an "action to protect and build on the Affordable Care Act."
