WPP to partner with TikTok for ad opportunities

WPP, a British multinational advertising holding company, announced on Monday a global partnership with the social media outlet TikTok, aimed at providing WPP clients with new advertising and content-creation opportunities. The collaboration will also work on Application Programming Interface (API) integrations and introduce augmented reality features.

"Our clients want new and innovative ways to reach consumers. TikTok has quickly demonstrated the power of mobile video and the many opportunities that exist for brands to engage in meaningful and creative ways on its platform. I am delighted that we have formed this global partnership, a first in our industry, and look forward to working with TikTok to ensure our clients continue to benefit from what its platform has to offer," said Mark Read, the CEO of WPP.

WPP and TikTok are also planning to create a leading "training and accreditation program," which will allow WPP clients early access to creators and the generation of tailored content. Since the news announcement, WPP stocks rose 1.77% to $52.86 per share at 2:35 pm GMT.
