Ireland to remain under lockdown until April 5 at least

Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin announced on Tuesday the country will remain under coronavirus lockdown until at least April 5, when the government has scheduled a review of the measures currently in place.

However, the Taoiseach said that schools will begin a phased reopening starting March 1.

Ireland has been under nationwide Level 5 lockdown restrictions since December 22, the highest level of COVID-19 restrictions on the government's scale.
