Dow turns positive after 360-point loss

The Dow Jones Industrial Average turned positive on Tuesday after suffering a 360-point drop earlier in the session.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell pledged the central bank would continue to support the ailing economy "until we make substantial further progress towards our goals." The Fed chief also said that progress in coronavirus vaccinations improved the economic outlook for later this year.

The Dow was up 0.08% at 3:07 pm CET as the Walt Disney Company led the gains. At the same time, the S&P 500 was flat, while the Nasdaq 100 was down 0.58%, recovering from a 3% decline earlier in the day.
