GameStop CFO to step down in March

Chief financial officer of video game retailer GameStop, Jim Bell, will resign on March 26, the company announced on Tuesday. According to the update, GameStop is still searching for his replacement.

On Monday, shares of GameStop surged after it was revealed retail investor Keith Gill doubled his stake in the company. Gill is the WallStreetBets member who kickstarted the investing frenzy into GameStop's shares in January.

Shares of GameStop were down 2.76% to $43.73 in after-hours trading following the announcement of Bell's departure from the company.
