Schumer: Senate will take up relief bill this week
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (pictured) stated on Monday the upper chamber of Congress will start the debate on President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion relief bill this week.
"The American people sent us with a job to do, to help this country through this moment of extraordinary challenge, to end through action the greatest health crisis our country has faced in a century and that is just what we are going to do," the Democrat asserted.
The legislation was passed by the House of Representatives last week.
