European equities pare losses after lower start
European equities cut losses on Tuesday following a lower start with the FTSE 100 and the DAX turning to gains.
Stocks shrugged off the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit's report released earlier which revealed German unemployment rose in February for the first time since June. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, shares on Wall Street traded lower during the premarket session after Monday's rally.
The DAX was up 0.08% at 10:40 am CET, while the FTSE 100 rose 0.24%. Meanwhile, the CAC 40 was flat. HeidelbergCement was the to performer on the DAX, followed by Daimler, while Pershing Square Holdings lead the gains in London as the company's shares climbed over 3%.
