Boeing aircraft orders outweigh cancellations, first since 2019

Boeing shared its sales data on Tuesday, marking a turnaround in the selling dynamics as the company sold 82 aircraft in February and had 51 cancellations, the orders outweighed the cancellations for the first time since November 2019.

The most sales were of the 767-2C commercial tanker as 27 models were ordered. United Airlines placed an order for 25 737 MAX aircraft. Although coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the airline industry, some carriers are starting to expand the fleet anticipating travel growth.

Last month, Boeing delivered 22 planes, including 18 737 MAX models. The company now has 4,041 aircraft in the backlog.
