Honda to temporarily limit production in N. America

Honda Motor Co.,Ltd will limit its production in the United States and Canada for a week over a shortage of parts, the automaker unveiled.

The decision was made due to "a number of supply chain issues," as well as COVID-19 and the "microchip shortage," Honda spokesperson said to Agence France-Presse.

"In some way, all of our auto plants in the US and Canada will be impacted, with most of the plants temporarily suspending production during the week of March 22," the outlet wrote, citing the spokesperson for the automaker.

Honda's shares slid 1.41%, selling for ¥3,290 at 4:50 am CET.
