Boeing can't afford to be 'locked out' of China - CEO

Boeing chief executive officer David Calhoun spoke on Wednesday at the United States Chamber of Commerce Aviation Summit, saying that the company cannot afford to lose the business opportunities it has with China. Nevertheless, he said he sees a "long slog" to normalize the trade relations between the United States and China.

Boeing CEO shared that the virus transmission on an airplane is not a threat due to the nature of air circulation on aircraft.

With vaccination reaching 50-70% of the population, the business will go back to normal, Calhoun is optimistic it could happen as soon as this summer.
