Asia mostly higher after China's trade report

Stock indexes in Asia traded mostly with gains on Tuesday after the latest trade report from China showed a surplus of $115.9 billion in the first quarter of the year. China's exports were up 38.7% from the same period in 2020, while the imports grew 19.3%.

The Nikkei 225 increased by 1.06% at 4:43 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 dropped just 0.05% at the same time. Hang Seng added 1.18% at 4:44 am CET. The Kospi Composite was up by 1.02% at 4:25 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite improved by 0.11% at 4:44 am CET, and the Shenzhen Composite gained 1.11% at 4:45 am CET.

The dollar traded 0.23% higher compared to the yen at 4:46 am CET, selling for 109.6380.
