Boeing aircraft orders exceed cancellations

Boeing reported on Tuesday its March aircraft sales data, marking the second consecutive month of purchases exceeding cancellations, as the industry returns to flying after travelling recovers from the pandemic lockdowns.

The manufacturer reported an order of over 200 planes, including its bestselling 737 Max aircraft. Southwest Airlines were month's biggest buyers, after buying 100 aircraft. After subtracting cancellations and conversions, Boeing reported a net positive order of 40 plane units.

Boeing's backlog rose by 13 to 4,054 planes. The company also increased deliveries by 31% to 29 aircraft in March, including two 787 Dreamliners for United Airlines.
