Japan posts ¥663.7B trade surplus in March

Japan's trade surplus rose to ¥663.7 billion in March, the country's Finance Ministry reported on Monday.

Compared to the same month last year, exports grew 16.1% to ¥7.4 trillion, while imports climbed 5.7%% to ¥6.7 trillion.

China remains Japan's largest trading partner, with exports and imports rising 22.4% and 9.8% respectively. The figures for the United States, which takes second place when it comes to the volume traded, were up 4.9% and 6.5%.
