Renesas sees output at damaged plant restored by May
Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Renesas Electronics Corporation revealed on Monday it expects full production capacity at its fire-hit factory to be restored by May.
The company's President and CEO Hidetoshi Shibata also confirmed that the Ibaraki Prefecture facility restarted operations at 10% capacity on April 17.
On March 19, the plant was damaged by a fire, after which the company said it looked to restore output in three months.
