Salesforce claims helped Sonos grow e-commerce by 84%

Audio product developer and manufacturer Sonos managed to up its direct-to-consumer business by 84% year on year by using Salesforce.com, Inc. software, a press release published by Salesforce claimed on Wednesday.

Sonos Chief Executive Officer Patrick Spence said that Salesforce's technology allowed his employees to shift their business to direct-to-consumer as well as manage to work at home during the pandemic. "It allowed us to scale and support all of our customers as we hit a period of tremendous growth," he added. CEO of Salesforce's Service Cloud Clara Shih lauded Sonos' output, stating that the service is about "building trust" and "delivering great experiences" in order to maintain long-lasting customer relations.

The use of Salesforce software is one of the investment strategies Sonos discussed back in May 2020, one month before having to let go 12% of its employees and close seven stores, including its store in New York.
