Biden intends to nominate 12 key climate officials - WH

United States President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate 12 individuals to work under his administration on furthering his climate agenda, The White House revealed in a statement.

The most notable nomination is Rick Spinrad, who Biden picked to lead National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Tracy Stone-Manning, was chosen for Director of the Bureau of Land Management, and Monica Medina for assistant secretary in the State Department's Bureau and Oceans and International Environmental and Science Affairs.

Department of Commerce's NOAA focuses on the ocean conditions and warns of dangerous weather and Spinrad, formerly a chief scientist under the Obama administration, is now set to be the agency's administrator.
